Facebook to push augmented reality – PPP Focus
Zuckerberg said, " Even though we were a little slow to addcameras to all our apps, I'm confident that now we're going to push this augmented reality camera forward". Facebook showed the world it was serious about virtual reality technology when it dropped more than $2 billion to acquire Oculus VR. It now seems clear that Facebook's Oculus acquisition was more about bringing the social element into virtual reality than anything else. Initially, Facebook Spaces app was available in beta but now it is made available for free on the Oculus store. Further, Facebook Spaces lets users pause a "Spaces" chat at any time and move into a quiet space where they can take a break away from other people.
