"IBT" : The Legend of Zelda mobile game reportedly in the works at Nintendo

Nintendo is reportedly developing a new mobile game based on its hit RPG series The Legend of Zelda. That new Pokémon title is reportedly a card-based game, one that could replace the existing Pokémon Trading Card game available already on mobile devices. A mobile Zelda game was inevitable as soon as Nintendo announced its mobile games would be making use of its biggest IPs, and now certainly seems like a good time to be working on one. The report also states that The Pokémon Company is working on a new mobile title to follow last year's smash hit Pokémon Go. Nintendo announced its intention to develop mobile games in-house with the aid of developer DeNA in 2015, announcing that it would release five games by March 2017.

Report: Nintendo is bringing The Legend of Zelda to smartphones
Nintendo will bring its popular Legend of Zelda franchise to smartphones sooner rather than later, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. Although it's worth taking the news with a pinch of salt, Nintendo clearly has no qualms with bringing its biggest franchises to smartphones. The Japanese console maker has already released mobile versions of its popular Super Mario and Fire Emblem games, and confirmed Animal Crossing will be heading to smartphones in the future. The outlet claims "people familiar with the matter" have said the company's upcoming Animal Crossing app will hit shelves in the second half of 2017, and will be followed up by the rumored Zelda title. With that in mind, it wouldn't be at all surprising to see Zelda make the jump to mobile, particularly if Nintendo is hoping to capitalize on the success of Breath of the Wild, which sold 2.76 million copies on the Switch alone.
