In compliance with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall, I returned my phone and am waiting for my $930 refund from T-Mobile.After a week with the new Moto G4 Play, I'm really starting to question whether or not I need to pay five times the price of one phone for such a high end flagship.Last week Motorola sent along its new Moto G4 Play and without looking at any of the information in the reviewer guide or on the Motorola website I popped in my T-Mobile SIM and a Google Project Fi SIM.It wasn't until after a few days of testing that I went to the Motorola website where I saw the phone was only priced at $149.99.

Moto fired some well-aimed shots over the bow of Apple's new iPhone 7 pending its release of what it says is among the only true innovation shown by any smartphone maker this year.It says, (iTWire report here) and this iTWire journalist and smartphone reviewer heartily agrees, "Brand loyalty and habit is no excuse to accept a 'new' phone that's not very different from the old one.".Of course, it is referring to the yet to be released "Moto Z + Moto Mods" (US link here) and at first glance, this is both a spectacular smartphone but the optional Mods could start a real trend.The Mods are magnetically attached "backs" that turn it into a Hasselblad True Zoom 10x Camera, a JBL SoundBoost Speaker, an Insta-share PICO projector, and Incipio offGRID power pack - that is just for starters.
