"IBT" : Samsung launches Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in select global markets

Samsung on Friday (21 April) officially announced the launch of its Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones in select markets around the globe. The company also carried out 8-point battery safety check on the S8 and S8+ to improve safety standard of the battery. Galaxy fans in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Korea would be now able to buy the smartphone. The rollout will continue to other markets across the world in the coming weeks. For this the S8 will sustain its longevity better than previous models, explains Lee.

Samsung and Google also promise that Google Play Music will work with Bixby, Samsung's intelligent voice assistant when it becomes available. Thus far, the Google Play Music benefits are only being offered to people who purchase new Samsung mobile platforms. Installing Google Play Music as the default on Samsung mobile devices is almost guaranteed to increase Google's music-streaming market share. Google Play Music includes a subscription to YouTube Red which allows ad-free streaming of all YouTube videos. It would be nice if Samsung and Google would offer the same benefits to users of older Samsung devices after the buying surge for the Galaxy S8 smartphones settles down.

How to use Samsung Galaxy S8's always on display

How to use Samsung Galaxy S8's always on display
The Galaxy S8 has several features the iphone doesn't, but one of my favorites is its always-on display. Thanks to the organic screen technology Samsung uses, it can power some pixels all of the time without wasting battery life. Samsung first introduced this feature last year with the Galaxy S6. You can use it for viewing icons representing notifications, special pictures or for actions, like switching songs. Using the always-on display is simple.
