Huawei, China's leading phone maker, surpassed Apple's universal phone discounds for the premier time in June and July, according to analysis with consulting company Counterpoint Research. Figures haven't been launched yet for August, though Counterpoint indicates discounds for which 30 days too look strong. Surprisingly, in spite of overtaking Apple in universal sales, none of Huawei's phones appear on the highest ten list. "While Huawei phone climbed to be the world's 2nd largest brand overall, it is surprising to see none of its models breaking into the highest rankings," told Counterpoint study senior analyst, Pavel Naiya in a statement.
