Online smartphone market growth at 25%, 15 mn units sold: Study

As it stated in Chennai: The online smartphone market growth in India is growing at a fast pace, with more than 15 million phones being sold online in India during Q3, a report has stated. The share of total online smartphone sales in India expected to increase from 35 per cent in Q2 to 38 per cent in Q3. "For the last few years contribution of online sales channels to India's overall smartphone sales is increasing with each passing quarter. Out of the total online smartphone sales in India, only nine per cent of the smartphones were sold directly from the website of the manufacturers. This is followed by the Korean giant Samsung with 13 per cent, and Huawei with a mere seven per cent share.

Xiaomi has a great chance to endeavor the European market before hitting the US market.
