- Top of the Order:No, It's Not 2001, Again: One of the best things I've found about streaming video services is the ability to discover strange foreign-language TV shows from, well, foreign lands that we here in America would have likely never before found.I mean, it's amazing "Downton Abbey" became such a hit on these shores when there are reboots of "Gilmore Girls" to watch, right?Among the shows I've come across on the Acorn TV streaming platform that would qualify me as a TV nerd are "Easy Living," a show about a family involved in some less-than-on-the-level dealings as it tries to keep up its upper-middle class lifestyle, and "Hooked," about a cop who has put his dark past behind him only to have it appear in the form of his long-ago ex-girlfriend, the mother of his teenage son.
