Although things have (finally) been getting better for the Pixel, there's no question that things probably could have been handled better. Would-be early Google Pixel adopters know all too well the problems they had receiving the phone at launch (some colors/configs more than others). Hopefully Google has learned a thing or two in time for the big Pixel 2 launch later this year. Keeping in line with today's events of putting manufacturers on blast, the latest diss comes from one of Google's own. Extremely long shipping times once again marred the launch of yet another Google flagship, with Google going through the same song and dance, telling people that — again — exceedingly high demand caught them off guard.

Google allegedly working on 3rd smartphone bigger than the Pixel XL, codenamed Taimen [RUMOR]
The real question is, would you be interested in a Google smartphone larger than the Pixel XL? Even so, it's possible taimen could be a separate device from the Pixel and Pixel XL , (maybe a Nexus?) Yesterday, possible code names for Google's followup to the the Pixel were revealed. although exactly why Google would release another smartphone under a different name is confusing to say the least. Going by "walleye" and "muskie," the code names seemingly fall inline with Google launching a pair of devices in two different sizes — small and XL — just like they did the previous year.

Google set to release new smartphone larger than Pixel XL
Perhaps Google will find a manufacturer for the Pixel and Pixel XL follow-ups and seek out another for taimen. In addition to a new Pixel and Pixel XL, Google is reportedly set to introduce a third option, which Droid-Life claims is codenamed "taimen." (Taimen, for what it's worth, is a species of fish in the salmon family.) According to the report, taimen is allegedly separate from the Pixel and Pixel XL sequels , supposedly being developed "on its own." What that means is unclear. Earlier this year, a report claimed Google was working on three Pixel devices, including a more affordable model. However, if the device looks anything like last year's Pixel and Pixel XL, hopefully Google can work on eliminating the bezels, much like LGand Samsung are doing with its devices.
