ZTE reported it would launch a 5G phone in late 2018 or early 2019. The company's plans are dependent on 5G network rollouts and chipsets. ZTE would be 1 of the premier companies to launch a 5G smartphone. ZTE might not have had a powerful presence during CES 2018, however Lixin Cheng, the CEO of the company's US arm, continue made a splash with announcing ZTE going to launch a 5G-capable phone with early 2019. The possibility obstacle hasn't dissuaded ZTE from possibly relleasing a 5G-capable tablet or wireless-internet hub for homes, in addition to its 5G smartphone.
