Leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) have revealed some very important information. We can see that this smartphone is going to have a triple lens camera in its main shooter. This would confirm the rumors that stated that Samsung would launch a device with four cameras this year since we also have a selfie camera on this new smartphone. The Galaxy A7 doesn't show a fingerprint sensor, but we're not getting one in the display. It will probably be presented on October 11th so now we only need a launch date and official confirmation.

Huawei confirms its first foldable smartphone will also be its first 5G phone

To add intrigue to mystery, Huawei just confirmed that its first foldable handset will also be its first 5G phone. Huawei earlier this year said that it wants to launch the world's first foldable smartphone, putting pressure on Samsung. Then Huawei teased its own foldable handset at IFA 2018 a few weeks ago, suggesting that a device with a foldable screen could replace computers. "In our first [5G] smartphone we're going to introduce a foldable screen," Hu said, according to Telecoms. We have no idea whether Samsung's first foldable phone will have 5G support, but Samsung did say the Galaxy S10, due in early 2019, won't be its first 5G phone.

Honor Magic 2 may be the world's first smartphone with nearly 100% screen-to-body ratio

as informed in Chinese smartphone brand Honor is all set to launch Magic 2, a smartphone which will nearly have all-display screen. Unveiled first at the IFA Berlin event earlier this month, the smartphone is the only one with a nearly 100 percent screen-to-body ratio. Talking about the device, Honor Magic 2 will boast a large 6-inch AMOLED display with display resolution of 1440*2880 pixels. Honor achieved such high screen-to-body ratio by implementing the sliding camera technology, similar to the one used by Oppo on Find X smartphone. On the performance front, Honor Magic 2 may come powered by the latest CPU from Huawei, the Kirin 980.

Ericsson makes first 5G call to smartphone

Ericsson has announced the first 3GPP-compliant 5G New Radio (5G NR) millimetre-wave (mmWave) over-the-air call using a smartphone form-factor mobile device in partnership with Qualcomm. The Ericsson Spectrum Sharing software will support 4G and 5G simultaneously through the same band when using any Ericsson Radio System since 2015 via a remote software installation, the company said. All three 5G solutions will launch commercially in the second half of 2019, and follow Ericsson unveiling a complete commercial 5G software set across radio and core networks in February. Ericsson had raised $370 million in December to support its 5G, mobile, and Internet of Things (IoT) R&D activities. In the past week, Ericsson also announced a 5G partnership with Juniper Networks, an IoT partnership with Sprint, the acquisition of US service assurance technology company Cenx, and the completion of a 5G call with Swisscom in Switzerland.
