Vivo teases Apex 2019 smartphone with no buttons and ports

As it stated in The latest teaser video released by Vivo shows off the slick metallic back of the Vivo 2019 smartphone, which does not appear to feature any rear cams or buttons and ports on the edges. On top of this, Ben Geskin managed to get some exclusive insight on Vivo's design and uploaded a possible render of the upcoming Apex 2019 phone to his Twitter account. According to GSMArena, Vivo also started a special Apex phone teaser campaign, which involves users touching the device without seeing it. We still cannot see the front screen, however, so Ben Geskin's render may or may not be accurate. The Vivio Apex 2019 is expected to be unveiled on January 24 and the Chinese company will showcase it at MWC 2019 in late-February.

Meizu Zero wants to banish a smartphone buttons and ports completely

When it comes to charging, with no port available it's wireless only. Meizu has done its best to overcome the traditional disadvantage of wireless charging – slow speeds – by upping the charging power to 18 W. Obviously there's no cabled data transfer here, so if you want to get anything to or from the phone you need an app and a Wi-Fi or data connection.

Meizu Zero wants to banish a smartphone buttons and ports completely

Behold, a smartphone devoid of buttons and ports

as declared in Others call it the next logical step in smartphone evolution. Meizu calls it, fittingly, the "Zero." It's equal parts fascinating and maddening. So, no Sim card slot, and no charging port — thank goodness for eSIM tech and wireless charging. There's a fingerprint sensor under the front glass and the physical buttons have been replaced with virtual ones. Mobile World Congress next month seems as good a time as any to announce all of that.
