Over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen reports on the news about those exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones.Well today, it got real.Turns out, those phones are such a problem that they've been banned from all flights in the US.The emergency order ban was imposed by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) in conjunction with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).

TROUBLESOME Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones have been banned from Qantas and Jetstar flights because of concerns about them catching fire.A prohibition on the devices from both carry on and checked baggage will take effect from 12.01am Sunday.Passengers already booked on flights were being contacted by email and text message.Virgin Australia and Tiger Air have also released statements confirming the smartphone could no longer be brought onto their flights.
